Add (WAD/PAK)
Add will bring up a dialog box from which you can select a texture WAD, or in the case of games like Quake II, a PAK file. The textures displayed while editing a level depend on what texture format is specified in the Game Configuration for the game profile you are working in.
Add WAL Group
Instead of adding a PAK file, you can add individual WAL directories. This gives you greater control over which textures are used, but also results in a decrease in performance compared to using the PAK format. You can use both PAK and WAL format at the same time.
Remove
Remove will cause the selected texture WAD to be removed from the list. This may be needed if you are running low on memory or using compile utilities that do not support multiple texture WADs.
Extract Textures
This will bring up MakeTex which will let you pull the textures out of as many PAK files as you'd like and place them in one WAD file. (In the case of a WAL texture system, the WALs will be extracted to their appropriate directories)
Texture brightness
This affects the gamma of the textures. If they appear light or dark in Worldcraft, you can adjust that here.
